Sharon on what it means to be a psychic....
Being psychic to me means the responsibility to help others. It is not enough to just use the information I receive from spirit to make my own life easier, it's about helping people that need that little bit of information that will move them toward their goals. I am so blessed to be part of peoples' journeys and when I can convey some information from above that helps someone move along their path even the smallest bit, how could this not be totally rewarding?
My favourite part is when, as a medium, someone comes to me in distress from losing someone close to them and spirit will allow me to connect to their loved one on the other side. Even for a moment to allow the person still in human form to realize that there's more on the other side and their loved one is safe in God's hands. At these times I am totally humbled by the existence of all mankind and feel totally blessed to see and feel the things I do.

About Her Personal Life
Where and with whom do you live? - I have lived in Oshawa Ontario for about 7 years and live with my wonderful husband Robert and our two dogs Bandit and Blue. I like Oshawa as it still has a small town atmosphere. My shop is in Bowmanville where I do my readings. A small town just on the other side of Oshawa.
Pets? - We have a Australian sheepdog named Bandit and a border colie named Blue. I'm presently watching my Son's two bengal cats (grandcats) Blueberry and Hazel.
Kids? - I have two Sons Michael (20) and Peter (29). They are the light of my life and I adore them. They surprise me daily with their wit and knowledge of life.
Family? - My parents have been gone for many years but I have a wonderful sister and brother-in-law and two brothers and one wonderful sister-in-law and a slew of nieces and nephews and their families. We are a close knit family and always get along. My husband's family are wonderful also and live close to us in Oshawa area.
Hobbies, special interests? - Most of my hobbies seem to be around my readings. I write a blog and have a newsletter. I also host a radio show. I guess my hobby is writing. Recently I have taken to exercise and joined a gym with my husband with classes like Aqua Fit, Belly Dancing and Yoga. I also joined the Running Room and I am taking a walking course. I'll get up to running some day. I love to read also.
Favourite Entertainment - Movies: Practial Magic, Hello Again, It's complicated, Millions, Simon Birch and Chocolate. I love movies. Favourite Author - Florence Scovel Shinn, Music: The old stuff, cat stevens, Chris Deburg, the music from Practial Magic, Beatles, Janis Japlin, Jan Arden. TV: Never watch it. Don't even have cable. I loved the show Three Wishes though from long time ago. Love Dexter too for some reason. We usually wait until they are out on video to watch.
Favourite Food - Chocolate! Smoothies. Breakfast is my favourite at a restaurant. Eggs and Bacon and Home Fries.
Favourite Article of clothing - I love my new nikes that my husband got me from the Running room. They're pink! My pink leather jacket my Sons got me is up there too. My younger boy always warns me about being one of those people where their life is suddently taken over by one colour and before you know it their hair, house, car, etc, are all pink or purple.
What are you into - eg any sports, music, dance, drama? My life is somewhat simple. Except for my exercise above I'm not really into any sports. No music, dance or drama. At a party I don't sit down as we dance all night and I have been known to be caught doing a little dance at the strangest times when I'm happy but not other than that. When I was younger I played the Viola and Piano. It's not something I carried forward with me however.
What do you like to do when you have time to "play". - My husband and I usually hang out and have date days in which we spend the day together. We always find something interesting to do. We make sure we have these free days once a week so it's not all work.
Where do you like to relax?, The living room on the couch is a comfy place to read. I'm usually found on the computer in the kitchen though.
What would be your ideal vacation? My dream vacation is Glastonbury England. I would love to go when the festival is on. I'll get there someday. Also I would love to go to Arizona. I went to Las Vegas on my 50th and would love to go back there too.
Any comments about yourself or your personal life... Even though what I do for a living as a psychic is somewhat different my life is really simple. It wasn't always simple but it seems to be getting that way as I get older. I'm feeling like I am coming into a nice time in my life even though I've loved every minute of it as we can always find good even when the world is going crazy around us.
About Her Professional Life
How long have you been practicing? I have been practicing on more of a professional level for about 15 years.
What got you started? I have always been psychic with an inner knowing. At 13 I had Hodgkins Disease and kind of shut it down when I was in the hospital. It was just too much to take in at the time. At 35 when going through a divorce from my first husband it came back fast and furiously.
What makes you stay with it? I am very lucky to have found my passion in doing readings for people. I love everything about it. Sometimes I will be driving to the shop for a reading and time will stop just for a moment and I will realize it's what I always wanted for life to be like one day. I am very grateful to be able to do this. I have always loved helping people along their path and this gives me a tool to do it. It's easy for me too it is very natural. Like talking to a friend. I love when people find their passion and I am always amazed that it might have taken me a while to do it but I'm doing it nonetheless.
Any special abilities, - I think my specialty is to zero in on what has a person stuck from moving forward. Once unplugged a person can move forward with grace and ease as one of my teachers would always say. When I am in a persons energy I start to see pictures of them and what is happening in their life and what needs to be brought to their attention. People are not really complicated. Everyone just wants permission to be happy. Sure some are more stuck then others but then once they realize they are usually in control of things they start to change. Some things are beyond our control at the moment and we have to move through them but once we are out we realize that they happened for a reason even if they were painful to go through.
Specialized services? - I have been trained to go into the Akashic Records for readings and clients love this reading. It is much more of a spiritual reading then a psychic reading. Much softer and it makes a client feel like they have talked to themselves in spirit or received some sort of sign from spirit that everything is ok. .
What would you say was your most dramatic reading in terms of what was revealed and how it impacted a client? This is a good question. I love when people move forward from a reading and you can see them at their next appointment and their life has changed. I received an email the other day from my client who said that I said something about a tree falling and it would freak everyone out but not to worry no one is hurt (this is going out on a limb (pardon the pun) for me as I am not one to say negative things). The next day after the reading he woke up to the neighbour at his door asking him if he needed help to get the huge tree off the road that had fallen in the night from his property. He was shaking his head. Another reading was a regular client of mine was always asking how he could get more respect. He always showed up with long hair and leather jacket complaining that no one would give him a chance. I asked him to consider cutting his hair as this is what I was getting for him. I thought it a little bold statement and hesitated saying it but he did do it. The next appointment he bounced in with this short hair and I could believe my eyes. He was gorgeous and he had lost weight and changed his appearance. He was so happy and so proud to be part of his moving forward. Sometime it is just that simple.
Anytime you have found a reading or a spirit to be funny - as in amusing? This happens a lot. They will joke on the other side just like people do on this side. Just the other day a client's grandfather showed up and went behind my ear and I could feel my hair move and then he handed me a shiny coin. I told this to the client and she laughed because he always did a magic trick with her where he did that. Pretended he was getting money out from behind her ear and then gave it to her. Once a client had someone from spirit come through who stuttered and I started to stutter and couldn't get the words out. That was peculiar and a little funny at the same time.
How has your work as a psychic affected your personal life, how has it changed you? I have met so many people and friends through my work as a psychic. I also learn as much from a reading as my clients. I know that it isn't me doing the readings but spirit so we each grow from the experience. Spirit has allowed me to grow through experiences each of which goes out there and helps others that come to me in the future. I am very blessed to be able to do this. God is good.
How did/do your family and friends react to your choice of work? - My husband is also a psychic and does Native Stone readings so he is totally comfortable with what I do. My Sons have always known me to be this way. They think its cool. I'm sure they get a kick out of telling their friends. My family have accepted it as the years go by. I'm sure there has been many a raised eyebrow at the beginnig but they know now how happy I am doing it. We're not a judgemental bunch my family anyway. I find it interesting that friends never take advantage of having a friend that's a psychic. Sometimes they will ask questions but then I ask quesitons of them too. Everyone has a gift.What keeps you motivated in the work and to keep growing and learning yourself? I guess I just love it. It makes me happy. I am forever searching for new inforation and learning. I remember long time ago someone asked me are you on a quest or something as I am so inquisitive and like a sponge for new things and I was proud to say "totally yes".
Any other comments about you and your work?- Just that I am very blessed that clients have faith in me to do their readings for them.
